A Denver area Tribute Band interpreting the music of the Grateful Dead

Juba Juba! Performs original interpretations of Grateful Dead music, meshing new and original grooves with classic Grateful Dead songs.  Juba Juba! recently toured Colorado with special guest, Melvin Seals of the Jerry Garcia Band.  Juba Juba! is an all star band composed of members of Denver area Grateful Dead Tribute bands including, Ship of Fools, Hollow Bones, The Pranksters, and August West Band.  Members of Juba Juba! have been on the same bill with Melvin Seals, Buddy Guy, Dark Star Orchestra, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Third World, Leftover Salmon, G.E. Steve LaZar: Guitars, & Vocals
Steve played in a number of popular local Denver bands including Radio Blue, Unifari Band, Jamaican Eclipse, Hollow Bones, Pangea, and Ship of Fools. Steve has been on the same bill with Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Dark Star Orchestra, Third World, Leftover Salmon, and G.E. Smith. His bands have included such notable musicians as Kevin Rosen (Dark Star Orchestra), Kofi Baker (Son's of Cream, OHM), and Malcolm Bruce (Son's of Cream). Steve also plays with Hollow Bones, and Jamaican Eclipse.

Haven McInerney: Guitars & Vocals
Originally from New York, Haven began performing in Chicago, playing Blues, Motown, and Rock and Roll. In college, he played with "Stephen's Answer," performing the music of "The Grateful Dead."   Haven has also played with "The Associates" (Motown), Baggs Patrick's "Spud Potato Band" (original novelty Rock), "Wigamazoot" (an original Jam band), "The Zoids" (original space Rock), "Cocktail Crap" (Jazz standards), "Me From Atom",  (original Pop Rock band), Ship of Fools (performing music of the Grateful Dead)  and many others.

His influences include The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, and Thelonious Monk.  Haven has played on stage with Chicago Blues legend Buddy Guy, and opened for Matt "Guitar" Murphy of the "Blues Brothers."  Haven is a songwriter and also a composer of New Age music and various sonic experiments. He recently composed music for the soundtrack to the documentary film, "Ripple's Cross." Thanks to his twin brother, Paul (and Uncle Thomas), he was introduced to the special music of The Grateful Dead long ago and considers it his favorite.

Jim Allard: Bass Guitar / Vocals
Jim comes to Juba Juba! most recently from Shakedown Street, Colorado's best known Grateful Dead tribute band.  Jim has been the driving force behind Shakedown Street, for many years.  Jim has also played with One Kind Favor(with Jeff Pevar from Phil and Friends, Crosby Stills and Nash, Ray Charles) and The Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Review (with Rob Eaton from Dark Star Orchestra).
Joel Roberts: Keyboards
Joel has played with Charlie Daniels, members of the Marshal Tucker band, Question Mark And The Mysterians, Jim Ross (The Jaggerz) and appeared on the Nashville Network "You Can Be A Star" show. He toured, nationally, with Baywolf for two years.
RT Weber: Drums
R.T. comes to Juba Juba! most recently from Marin County, CA where he played with Jelly, a band Bob Weir has played with on numerous occasions, and also with Workingman's Ed (with Stu Allen from the Jerry Garcia Band).  He also plays with Pro Leisure, a Boulder-based groove-oriented rock band whose original music has received significant radio play in the West.
