Haven McInerney: Guitars & Vocals
Originally from New York, Haven began performing in Chicago, playing Blues, Motown, and Rock and Roll. In college, he played with "Stephen's Answer," performing the music of "The Grateful Dead." Haven has also played with "The Associates" (Motown), Baggs Patrick's "Spud Potato Band" (original novelty Rock), "Wigamazoot" (an original Jam band), "The Zoids" (original space Rock), "Cocktail Crap" (Jazz standards), "Me From Atom", (original Pop Rock band), Ship of Fools (performing music of the Grateful Dead) and many others.
His influences include The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, and Thelonious Monk. Haven has played on stage with Chicago Blues legend Buddy Guy, and opened for Matt "Guitar" Murphy of the "Blues Brothers." Haven is a songwriter and also a composer of New Age music and various sonic experiments. He recently composed music for the soundtrack to the documentary film, "Ripple's Cross." Thanks to his twin brother, Paul (and Uncle Thomas), he was introduced to the special music of The Grateful Dead long ago and considers it his favorite. |
